TWO Bricked "M8" Devices - Good Times

Ok so I've spent literally all day messing around with these two "OTT M8 TV" Boxes I've got, One was bricked awhile back and the other one today. I think my main issue is what seems to be roughly 80,000 or more different variants of the "M8" box - I have no freakin clue what software I should be trying, and thus far nothing's working.


BOX #1
Bricked this one a long time ago - Spent most of the day trying over a dozen different firmware on it, The front light turns on and it's loading from the SD Card but no firmware worked except for one from "Probox", although, ultimately it's janky and unusable.

BOX #2
Just recently bricked this ^^ (awesome) - Using the what I felt to be the safest method, I loaded an update through the "Backup & Update" utility (after backing up), during what should have been the installation process, the box just sat there doing nothing for about an hour before I finally decided to pull the plug, after plugging back in, it's also bricked - no lights, nothing.

I'm pretty tech savy but this is all making me feel real stupid, Can't believe this is such a freakin hassle. I'm just hoping someone here can point me in the right direction

Unbrick is Easy with USB Burning Tool and the Probox 2 EX Image.
Download both and then you can Reflash with that Probox 2 EX Image,
After that all will be fine.

Your assertion this is "easy" gave me several miniature strokes. Thank you.

• I've yet had any success with the USB Burning tool on either box - The result is always "Romcode/Initilize DDR/Read initialize status/USB Control setup error" (See image attached)
• Through the SD Card I've loaded this firmware, looks nice and all but ultimately doesn't work, WIFI is broken, Ethernet works but Kodi (& several versions of it) is unable to detect any network. Probox 2 EX does not appear to be a viable option for Box #1

Box #2 just does nothing anymore, I imagine I'll have to solder pins 8,9,10 to NAND pin 12 while touching a piece of metal to short as I spin around, tap my head 3 times fast, one time slow while singing the Ghost Busters theme song.....

it's exactly same box as mine so it should work fine
