So while trying to install OpenElec on my M8S I bricked the device and it would not boot up. After scouring these forums I found a firmware (M8S_S812_2GB_26102015.zip) that I loaded onto an SD card that I was able to boot into recovery mode and it started to recover the device and I saw the Android logo and progress bar yay right? Up until I accidentally knocked out the power cord during this progress and screwed everything up again.
Now when I go to try and use the same SD and go into recovery again, my monitor just keeps flashing in and out, almost like it keeps rebooting. Nothing happens, screen flashes on and off. If I turn on without SD card I just get a black screen. LED still turns on but nothing happens. Did I screw this box up for good? I tried everything, I modified the factory_update_param.aml file to list wipe cache, wipe data, etc but nothing. Nothing works anymore.
Please let me know if anyone can assist.
