Tronsmart Vega S95 Playback problem in Local Tv Provider App (Digiturk Error 1004)

    Hello everyone,

I am a subscriber to a local TV service (Digiturk) which has an app called "Diledigin Yerde" which has over a million downloads. They are using Octoshape services to channel their content.
The provider seems to "do something" with certtain content that causes an error message ending up not playing the content. I know this is an app-specific and local issue but 100's of 1000's of paying customers suffer from and wait for a solution to that problem which prevents them from accessing content they pay a lot of money for. Rumor has it that the provider does something to block chinese android tv boxes in their app and Tronsmart Vega S95 using Amlogic s905 seems to be in that category. I must stress that this is not a call for help to watch paid content for free. On the contrary, people can not watch content they pay for on their boxes. If anyone out there is interested in investigating into this please contact me for my subscriber account information which you will need to test/reproduce the error.

I shared this problem under a model-specific subforum because thats the hardware I own and need a solution with. But the problem actually concerns almost every single local Android TV box owner.

Disclosed you can find the icon of the app and the error message in question which translates as "Error 1004: An error occured. Please restart the broadcast."

Does the app work on tablets or phones?

Riscy Dude, yes it does. Works on my iphone and ipad flawlessly but it has a protection against mirrorring so i cant airplay. Gotta watch on device screen.

Then it may be that their app is looking for HDMI output on the Android devices. Does the iPad have an HDMI or display port? If so, does the app work when connected to a display/TV?

No the ipad has nothing except its data/power port. the app for ios is "airplay protected" it does not let you stream the content to another display or output medium. the one common thing among android boxes is that they dont have a display of their own so i am thinking their app does what it does detecting that. the most common rumor is that they encode certain, more pricey content with a specific codec but im not 100% sure. someone who knows their way around such stuff ought to examine why that content produces that error message and make a ROM or a patch addressing the issue. I am confident that this can turn into a little business as i know tons of people will be prepared to pay for that little tweak enabling full access to the content they already pay for on their android boxes.
