Well if the saying, "Good things come to those who wait", is true, you should be in for good times.
Sorry, I have zero experience on the Allwinner SoCs, so can't offer assistance. Nice looking kit though. Looking forward to following your adventure on this one.
I think CNXsoft has covered some things on the Pine64, so you may want to look around over there.
    Have fun.

Is the hammer the tool of last resort?

Its Allwinner so i feel sorry for him. I have a few that make good door stops. Few ive used hammer on too.... But iam one sided as been burnt on every device ive ever gotten from them. No support at all. .
Many devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.

Actually, my Remix mini, based on same SoC works very well.

Some stuff here. The downloads. The forum.
Of course, you probably have this info already.

Yes, I have already used the downloads. Android works, but no audio. Remix OS works, but again no audio. First install of Ubuntu worked, but could not get past the password. Trying a different Ubuntu version with the desktop included.

So far. very underwhelmed, but only been tinkering with it for a few hours.

Very interesting. Glad you got it working. Sound is 50% of the reason I watch stuff.

Interesting video on how to water cool the Pine64 board. Not my video, but it is awesome.
