Is that the official firmware problem that the tablet cannot be charged during power off ?
I have both M9 & M6, M9 don't have such problem, is that attributing to the rom?

I'm pretty sure that is a problem with the firmware. Are you using this new ROM?

I wish there was a way to communicate these problems to Pipo. I have a log in to their forum....but I can't get Google translate to work right.

This sounds almost like a circuitry issue - but hopefully it can be corrected through firmware.

You can contact one of their supporting technical staff directly - [email protected] . I've gotten good repsonses from that person before - competance and insight is good, and his/her english is more than adequate so you won't be needing google to translate for you

Might also want to pop in a question regarding M8pro's, several has been reported unable to boot again after running the battery flat or near flat. (batteries tested separately, so its not the battery itself and seems not to be the protective circuit either. They charge back up fine, just won't boot again).

                  That's good to know.

These firmware glitches all need to be reported to her so they can fix them. We need to find as many of those little things to report...my experience is that the manufacturers only focus on their newest devices for a short time before stopping updates. Right now only the 3188 tablets are getting any love from Pipo.

Indeed. Some of those reporting bad wifi signal, have been traced back to poor soldering of the antenna (manual soldering). This looks to be a red line through most of the current Pipo range. Cleaning up and resoldering have fixed most of those issues. They seem to take their hardware layouts and composition seriously - so they should be able to follow up on this. A little more thorough work could show much profit, as most chinese tablets have so-so or crap WiFi - but when wired properly, the current Pipo range has great WiFi.

This can't be fixed by code means, but it could easily be prevented on future batches and models.

                      Version 1.2 Uploading....Stay Tuned!!!!!!!!!

It appears that Pipo put out an update for the M6 yesterday. It's kind of confusing because the file name was the same, but the date posted changed. I can't tell what is different, other than the file sizes changed a bit, so I know they did something.

Anyway, I have just completed the finishing touches on a new ROM for the wifi and 3g versions and I'm uploading them right now. As soon as they are uploaded I'll post a new thread.

Seriously - its about time Pipo started to include changelogs with all their updates.
Could it be first build off SDK 2.0? If so, we should see Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI audio passthrough etc. Is there any way to tell - would there be a newer kernel or something?

Your guess is as good as mine. I'll take a look in the build.prop. Standby.

I can't tell that there is anything different in the build.prop that refers to a new SDK.
