    Geekbox review

Oh my. It finally came yesterday so had to dive into this device.

The stock duel os was not the latest so of coarse i had to flash latest 😃

After trying to get the device to install reading geek blog posts there is small update switch side of box. Clicked device found when usb plugged in updated with zero issue and quickly booted up into andriod and rebooted into Linux quickly 4 gg partion from last version better.

This was one reason i got this device.

Samsung eMMC 5.0 is the world's fastest embedded memory, featuring an interface speed of 400MB/s. In particular boast random read and write speed of 7,000 IOPS (inputs/outputs per second) and sequential read and write speed of 250MB/s and 90MB/s respectively.
    (From Trebors post)
It shows when changing screens or doing small tasks..

I am wowed at how small it is. Will dive into box and landingship shortly. Ill test and bechmark here as well. But impressed how easy it is to switch from each os.

Just trying to set up a working box for landingship and geekbox when joined. Not many choices for that yet..

Good and interesting to fiddle with.
Thought you were going for the Clear/Crystal case so you could watch the smoke come out easier,
But i guess the dark colour will protect your eyes form the flash
All Good will watch with Interest
    Cheers

Man that Samsung memory makes a differece, Its much faster and loading different firmware a breeze. Followmsi 64 bit better the heart beat mode on settings cool addition strobe baby strobe!

Runs cool did get little warm on boot, but so far not unhappy with this purchase, very quick delivery from geekbuying. Have to open the landing ship next

Slipped into pocket and case cables so its very easy to take on the go. Top shirt pocket less noticeable and weighs less then small pack of smokes 😂

Been using one for a few weeks now and I too was amazed at just how small it is.

The first one I had died inside 3 weeks.

The eMMC is very fast too.

The biggest problem is that there is no really stable firmware.

The Lubuntu and Dual OS firmwares are very old now and not sure if we will see further updates.

I know that they were working on Openlec but haven't seen anything yet.
