New Pipo M9- high pitch squeal?

    Hi everyone
I just got my Pipo M9 yesterday, what a great tablet.
Only problem is that i have this irritating high pitched squeal whenever the screen is on, anyone had this kind of problem before?
From digging around the net, i gather that on some cases a firmware upgrade might help. Problem is- i have no idea how to upgrade this thing. I have the IMG file needed, but don't really know what to do with it next...

If anyone could help, either about the firmware upgrade or info about the high pitch noise, i'd appreciate it
    thanks

One thing you might try is to turn the brightness all the way up to 100% and see if the squeal goes away. If it does, that's a problem with the kernel, and hopefully it will be resolved (or has been since your tablet was released).

There are apps you can download to adjust the brightness (I used one for my Yuanado N101 when it had the same issue, but I can't remember the name of the app)

The latest RileyROM is based on the most recent firmware...so you might try flashing it. They might have already fixed it.

Saw the rom and thought about giving it a try, but i seriously don't know how to update this thing, or how to mess with the keys (?) needed for it and whatnot.
      Didn't find any guidance either....

P.S- i don't have an app, but when i up the brightness to 100% in the settings the squeal remains. I think it's even louder that way

Just download the ROM and unzip the file somewhere on your hard drive (I like to put it on the desktop). In the root folder of the ROM kit is a readme file that pretty much explains everything. If you have a good USB connection, you can flash without having to press buttons on the tablet.

          Awesome, thanks.
Just one last thing- how do i check which PCB i have? as i understand the ROM is for the new version only.
My tablet is brand new, but to be on the safe side, i'd like to check first

That is hard to say for sure. I dont' think they produced many with the old PCB, though...so odds are you have the newer version. If not, I can put together an Old PCB ROM for you. I think the difference is in the wifi or bluetooth or something.

Didn't help, unfortunately. Contacted Buyincoins and Pipo, i'll update here in case any other people encounter the same problem
