Amazon prime lists this box with a s812 processor.. I opened up my box and see a m8n sticker on it which is s802 and I was only able to flash megatron m8 v3 rom on it. I tried other m8n firm wares but always got "this package is for c200 or whatever. This is a m8n response.. I'd there any other firmwares that would be safe to try out?

if you use only kodi, openelec is good for u ,

Ah thanks. But yeah I use more than just kodi on my box.

JustMe JasonZech hey guys I also have a Skystream x4 M9&M8 v1.0 and just the other day became unresponsive. The blue light comes on and does not flicker, but there is no signal coming to the HDMI screen. I tried the reset button options but to no avail. I then tried booting from the SD CARD using a probox img but still nothing. I'm left to try the short pin method but not sure what pins will work or where they are exactly.

What ROM can be used for this box and what other options do I have?

P.S. I'm a OSX user and only have access to Windows via Virtualbox
