Beelink Mini MXIII to root or not to root? Advice please....

As much as I'm not a novice user of an android box, I was pretty content with what I had and the megatron rom but I got this before I get a Vega s95 as a main box. Now I don't understand completely everything technical to do with these devices.

Should I root this device or not? Benefits?

Also I still don't really understand TWRP and what it does. Can someone shed some more light to help me understand please.
