    Wifi mod

Ok after testing it was worth the swap of line and re sodered external to the board. Stripped separated leads and put one to each point getting steady 24 -25 mbps now. So ill call it worth the time... You can buy externals fir about 5 bucks on line. But i have a few left to caniblize lol... I need a new soder point to big on mine. But got it done without melting board....

If you very carefully at soder on board youll see two leads sodered.
Strip line (trust me this will save you pain..) separate the line +- then without removing the exsisting line cut it so it fits exactly.

then once threaded into hole line up flux and remove old lead.

Place in spot the new lead cut to size flux and hit each lead.

Gently once set i had to cut one clip off the bottom of case because it was exactly where antenna comes in. If your sodering skills better then mine you may be able to use old lead but one in the box i took off much thicker and easier to work with.

But was worth the mod to me.. Connects everytime and download speeds great now.

And the plus was that the board didnt burst into flames when i sodered or melt through

Good job, a little daring, but it is worth the worry. My RBox 3229(2GB/8GB) got the treatment too. Speed, and specially connection reliability, improved dramatically.

          Good to see.

Some of us dont get the final say as to what sits or doesnt sit on top of a tv stand or table

Im just going to mount my box on the cover that goes over where the stand bolts to under my tv since it is wall mounted. I am sure i can hide the antenna without to much trouble.

                          Hello,
I'm new on this forum and I'm new user of a Nexbox S905x A95x.
I see that WIFI connection of my box is terrible so I would like to modify the box wifi antenna.
I see from previous posts that there are two strategies: putting a different internal antenna or modifying the box to put an external antenna.
Second strategy seems too complex for me so my question is: is it enough to modify the box default antenna with the one suggested in post #9?
Is it simple to perform the correct solderings even for a rookie like me?
                          Thanks a lot
