    Hi Lewy,

Is it normal that it does not work right now?

If yes, do you expect to continue supporting it in the future?

Yes and yes. But you need a Firmware with the libstagefright libraries included (I guess all the latest firmware releases have it).

So, what do you think of it? Does it give you smooth playback? Any niggles?

If it's good, I'll give it a try myself, but I don't wan't to mess with my current setup until I know it's worth doing.

HD playback works pretty good. But there are other bugs because these are all alpha builds. For example, there is a bug in the python interpreter in all new android builds that causes malfunctions of some addons. Another problem i remember is that video and audio is always out of sync (this can be corrected by setting a audio offset in xbmc).
If you decide to test it, there is an addon for backing up your xbmc plugins and settings (i think it is calles XBMC Backup), so reverting to your original configuration is not a big deal.

                      xbmc installer

                      hi lewy.
im using your rom for the mk908 on my mk802iv with a different kernel from sam321 and its working great so far. It is a very stable rom for this device. the only problem is that i cant use the xbmc installer. is there a way so that i can download the xbmc apk directly and install it manually.
                      thank you for your work

Sure, just download the apk from the official XBMC servers and install it as usual.
Here are the latest nightly builds
and here are the monthly alpha builds (only alpha 7 and upwards have HW acceleration)

Works great but there are still a lot of bugs. I am still using it myself but would not install for anyone that is not completely sure what they are doing
