MK908 V3 shows as Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) in device manager

Hi,

I used the driver assistant tool to uninstall the driver (if installed previously),

reboot the system then install the driver via this tool.

Then I kept pressing the firmware upgrade button to connect the MK908 V3 to the pc,

the device manager reported
‘Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed).

Does this mean the TV stick is dead?

Ok,

I used this file

Then uninstall, reboot, install the driver using this
driver assistant tool and solved this problem

(Some instructions online suggest you to replace your win 8.1/10 usbport.sys usbhub.sys file with win 8's one, be very careful with this because it is very likely
you are going to crash your OS and can't boot it )

Hi ,

use USBDeview to uninstall all the entries of connected Devices , reboot , try again .
