    Any love for Archos 101 IT owners?

    Hello All,

    I have an Archos 101 IT and a Arnova 10G2. The 10 G2 is running the awesome Finless 1.4 ROM and is solid as a rock. Great Job!!!!

    My Archos 101 IT is stock all the way. I am not seeing much on the forum about this unit or I am just not looking in the right place. Stock is ok but like the 10 G2 I am sure there is much untapped potential.

    Have you got a stock firmware image for it?

    That is the important thing to have

      This is the download location from Archos's site for the latest firmware if this is what you are referring to.

          I am backed up a little right now with 3 ROM requests to work on but I will have a look and see.

            I have an A70it that i would love a ROM for. It also is Archos Gen8. It has a different processor than the Arnova's. I can't find a working ROM anywhere other than stock.

              I'm using your 1.5 on my A10g2 as my primary device and love it. The 10g2 was an upgrade from the A70it that was my starter.

              There are enough differences between the Froyo UI and Gingerbread that I wish I could at least put the home and back buttons in the top bar and free up the right side of the screen.

              Is there a way to just have a custom ROM to do just that? I'm not sure there would be any other performance benefit other than ext4 for the A70.

                I do not know how to do ROMs for that tablets architecture. The reason is I do not have a tablet with this chip set. While I can do many ROM for tablets I do not have they are all RK29. One day I may learn how to do it but I would need to own a tablet with this chipset. Maybe some day....
