s905x HEVC MP10 / H.265 10-bit Kodi Playback

On my A5, 10-bit HEVC is not working in Kodi.

Flashed firmware NEXBOX-A5-AP6330-6.0.1-201608061507

Interesting. So here's my differences:

- Render method is greyed out, though displays Auto detect
- I have no amcodec setting

I'm able to duplicate your settings anyway with the scaling and (Surface) codec, but still get green/scrambled playback.

Try my mod under firmware. I know 10bit hevc works in it

same problem with m8s mini II and no options or amcodec in Kodi or SPMC ? an idea of the problem ?

On my A5, 10-bit HEVC is not working in Kodi.

Had the same issue. Ended up installing LibreELEC 7.0 on it. Now everything works on it and it is a beast of a Kodi player.

I also have a S905x based media player (Mini M8S II) and was experiencing the same problem. I didn't want to try a new firmware, so I tried disabling both MediaCodec options and enabling amcodec, and boom, it fixed the problem! Hope this helps anyone else having this issue.
