From my experience with other Pipo ROM's, the fancy UI stuff requires an activation code to use. I suspect they will implement some type of code to get this to work also.

Hopefully they'll supply the code along with the retail box this time, so you don't have to contact pipo with your serial number to get the activation code. I believe they introduced the activation some time after the M9 and M8pro was released, thus no in-box activation code.

If they're sloppy - maybe they use the same algorythm for all activation. If so, your code for f.eks. M8pro or M9 could work on this launcher. But as codes aren't interchangable between same model tablets - I don't think you'll be able to port to a non-pipo device without cracking the activation. The activation codes are based on the serial number of the tablet - wich I believe is hardcoded into the tablet.

There's times I wouldn't mind a launcher for my kids. Like a catapult for example.

That's good, at least we don't need to supervise kids playing time on tablet.The playing time can be controlled well by the system.

But I don't think it possible to port or extract this launcher to other brand tablet, like you mentioned MK808. If you wanna try, you can ask their online service pipomall to request a activate code

You can also make a direct request to pipo: [email protected]
They're going to need a serial number to generate a licence key. Usually its on the back of the tablet and/or the warranty card.

Reports on SlateDroid say that a key for one tablet doesn't work on another tablet - indicating that the tablet serial number is coded into the tablet somehow. If you're to port this, you'll probably need to find a way around this.
