do we have a Libreelec or Openelec image for S912 boxes ?
then it is worth buying these Boxes very soon.
Otherwise it is better to wait for some good brands and few developers take interest in porting the Libreelec to new Boxes...

I haven't looked into it enough but it may be due to lack of an open/distributable midgard video driver, if thats the case it may be quite a while. The 450 used in the older products is Utgard class which has been around since 2007. Midgard is only from 2012 and the 820 is Midgard 4th gen from 2015Q4.

There appear to be midgard T62x series binary only drivers at the following but probably wouldn't work with T820: http://malideveloper.arm.com/resourc...space-drivers/

Hmm, the page says its for T62x but there are T7xx and T8xx strings in the binary itself so maybe it would work? That would be interesting.

While digging around in the mali source on arm's website it looks like amlogic is 2 driver releases behind in their current work, maybe they'll update it and there will be improvements, esp considering T820 was from 2015Q4 and the amlogic driver is from 2016-03-04, unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any changelog with the releases.

              Fair amount of changes:

              94 files changed, 5097 insertions(+), 2708 deletions(-)

If I'm reading the information on the following page correctly and file output of the binaries I think amlogic is using ARMv7 soft-float libraries which would likely be a lot slower than the ARMv8 arm64 ones. That might explain why everyone is wondering why the performance seems much lower than was expected.

I have just received a TX8 unit today (Branded by Bqeel in Europe) and have played with it tonight. My first impression is...hum.... very very good : damn Fast, stable... It's look like the MXQ Plus without the flash green screen bug... I'm impressed. No overheating, nothing wrong...

My only complain i, i don't like the pretty ugly launcher.

Please upload latest Firmware for TX8 model (in IMG for USB PC flashing).
I can not find it anywhere.

I received a few days ago this TV box. Unfortunately, it returns to the homescreen continuously especially using kodi.
You think that by installing the firmware you've loaded things can go better?
The application on the box to make online updates says that no updates are available, why?

You can try to uninstall built-in Kodi and re-install it from Google Play. It seems to help.

I have the same situation. I received device with firmware build number 20161010 and I see "no updates are available" message. I don't know why...

                              Hey guys,
After flashing the image above from GearBest my WiFi no longer works.
                              Probably a different WiFi chip??
                              Any ideas?
