Really great choice of connectivity and the ability to play real HD including 3D movies with the Dolby sound and passthrough. Hopeful that the interface is not clunky and should be user friendly.

I've been battling to get a player that works with 10bit HEVC X265 files, let alone 4K and Bluray 3D. It's so bad I even considered getting a dedicated windows machine and give up on Android/Linux altogether. This box comes out of the blue as a total surprise. Even better, Gigabit ethernet instead of 10/100, HDR(!), Android 6 instead of countless boxes on 4.X. Wow. At this point, just take my money, but I keep finding out more. HDMI IN? OMG. DTS-MA, I have no idea how OpenWRT & Android co-exist, but I'll be interested to find out. Oh and the competition closes on my birthday. Must be a sign! Sorry Minix, you have served me well, but the Martian 4K awaits...

I would love an android box that would allow me to cut the cable. This device will do just that. I'm excited to see what the 23.976 fps looks like.

This will be a great addition to the living room or bed room and making the extra monitor lying around to be a smarter device to handle all the entertainment needs. I am expected to be wowed by the smooth and trouble free interface as a web TV suppose to be. Zidoo should be a powerhouse of a device maker per generation.
