Hopefully the X9S will Run Kodi smoothly, with full HD audio passthrough and at the right refresh rate (including 23.976). I know that the native player can play 3d MKVs / isos, but it would be nice if this could be done within Kodi as well.

Well I already have the Zidoo X9 and it is a fantastic all rounder - it just works and does everything I need, but I can see great new possibilities with the X9S and OpenWRT

expectation would be that the firmware is easy to be updated, there would be continuous support for it, and that it would play video files from the local network flawlessly - something that most similar gadgets can not really do.

Almost every device I tried had problems with audio bitstream passthrough. I want a player that can output even dolby truehd and dts master audio to my av receiver. I also have hd music which I can only play using my desktop pc. Playback of 24bit 192khz flac would be great.
