Recently, I bought a 4K UHD TV 65inch from one famous manufacturer. Lot of my friends visiting me cause giant TV, and I have really lot of friends. This ZIDDO X9S box is just what I wanted, and I can't wait to win.

I expect it to work well with my new home cinema setup - connectivity and portability should be up par with modern standards. Android makes it a perfect media center!

My expectations are not likely I would win, my wishes are to win the Zidoo x9s because my current box can't game it's crippled by insufficient storage so it can't install nearly anything, the zidoo x9s can do all that my box can't,,and it looks very pretty also having wrt + media recording and playback is the icing on the much desired cake here.

I want to teach my elderly mom that there're much more interesting ways to enjoy a tv than watching soap operas. She already learned how to use a smartphone and couldn't be happier (she uses it more than me now )

Finally a TV box with more than the features I need at a reasonable price and I've been looking.
I've been designing, building and maintaining electronics for 40+ years and I like to tinker but I'm fussy what I buy.
I look at the specs, the photos for the layout and parts quality. This box has what it takes.

Just bought a S905 box to go with my 4K HDR TV. Wanted to tinker and it was cheap.
Guess what. The S905 doesn't do HDR and it took days to make it work right.
It doesn't support HDR, doesn't have USB 3.0 ports and doesn't have ac WiFi, which are needed for 4K HDR streaming via WiFi.

This box has all that and a fast enough CPU and GPU to be "future proof" for several years and a well designed heat transfer system so it runs cool insid where it counts.
Hook up the SATA port with the cable from my old Micca TV box and the USB 3.0 port to my drives and with the OpenWRT client and it's packages/plugins I have a NAS, and downloading via VPN.
I can always use a VPN and Flud in the Android section of this box to get that if needed.

OpenWRT is the best OS/firmware for routers unless you need hi end QOS with Advanced Tomato. If your router is supported check it out.
Yes I have DD-WRT on other friends routers for special features not available on other distros.

Except for DOLBY Vision support it's got everything BUT that would need a different GPU at a much higher price.

It does support the more common HDR10 video standard but Dolby Vision is 12 bit with dynamic HDR and I don't believe the T820 supports that.
The differences are very small and hard to see and for the next year or 2 I don't expect to see much 12 bit content except in theaters so this box should be fine for a good while. Only Amazon, Netflix and Vudu have online Dolby content and not much of that.
You also need a more expensive TV to display it. $1000 for a 55" LG vs $800 though I bought my 55" for $700 with the Magic Remote in June at Buydig.



It's specs and features are better than the Nvidia Shield at a lower price.

Since it's been out for over a year with at least 3 software updates I expect it will work without trouble out of the box.

This will be a great supplement to my son's 4K Sony. N/ac WiFi and wired access are available at the location so I can put the box through its paces.

Zidoo is a brand I've been reading a lot about lately, especially reviews so if this X9S is anything like their previous Android boxes, I'd expect it to be highly reliable, fast and high quality. The features I would expect (again going by previous reviews) is HDMI PiP, 4K playback, H.265 decoding, Kodi pre-installed, BT4, and improved gaming through their custom Tallo openGL engine.

Basically Zidoo should be on the short list (first choice) for anyone looking for an Android box.
