Can xbmc recognize video files from USB?

    Hello all,

I have just installed xbmc onto my Tronsmart T428 and I am trying to get it to recognize and play video files from a USB flash drive connected via hub.

If I launch the video player that is pre-installed with 4.2.2 it will recognize the video files on the connected USB drive and also play them, however the video quality is quite poor.

If I launch xbmc however, I cannot seem to locate the flash drive nor any of the video files on it...

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks,

    -James

What you need to do is go into the video tab and select file, then browse.. then it will take you to the xbmc file menu... Select root file system and select mount.. Here you will see all your external storage devices.. every settop box calls your usb something different, some call it sda1 other actually call it usb...
Thats how you set a path to your usb and other external storage devices.
