Few questions from someone new to Android sticks.

So, I just got this thing a few days ago. I'm no noob with Android, one of the first things I did was flash a Finless ROM. Anyway, I have a few questions because the stick came with basically zero instructions. It's a Tronsmart MK808b.

Is there a certain way that we're supposed to power them on? Or should I just unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back in?

Is it safe to leave it turned on on a semi-permanent basis? You can leave your phone on indefinitely, I didn't know if the same applied to these things. Of course, if I know I won't be using it for several days I'll turn it off completely. But, if I use it and then go to work or wherever for 8-12 hours, will it be bad to leave it on and idle for that time?

Do you have any good tips for use for someone new to this branch of Android devices? So far, I have Finless 1.6 (I think it's 1.6), and XBMC, as well as all my usual apps. Anything else I should try?

    Thanks a lot guys!

Hi there, from my experience I will tell you this,I have a mk 809II, if you turn on your tv,and switch to hdmi. It should turn on,at least that's how I do it.
I have tried to leave it on for hours, but if I turn off the tv somehow it freezes, at least it was doing this in the stock Rom,hadn't troy this on finless.

My TV automatically switches to show HDMI input when it's turned on. I would recommend getting a decent 2amp+ power supply as the ones that come with most sticks are rubbish (and possibly dangerous?). You shouldn't have a problem leaving it on for days as long as it runs cool enough. My stick would regularly freeze before I did my cooling mod. Now it seems solid and I can leave it on for ages without a problem.
