What mean DroidMote work. mean that also the center button on the second tab work like in all normal android devices with any firmware inside ?, or don't work like the other chinese firmware for rk3188 and rk3066 that have the android source code modified with crap apps inside ?

I have all apps working and also the center button of droidmote only in 4.1.1 generic firmware and on the Nexus rom 4.2.2 for T428 and in all other original tablets rom for rk3188. (cube, pipo, chuwi, yuandao, vido)

I know only this roms without android source code modification. but correct me if I'm wrong. if you know another rom, please suggest me.

HI strauzo, I just had vérified the ON / OFF button works, when I read, I tested droidmote with my galaxy note 2, and it does not work, I apologize for this error.

I like your work and what you said about the Chinese ROM, I also would like to have a great ROM google nexus, in the tronsmart T428.

On ROM "CX919_4.2.2_Finless_14.", this is the best I've had for the moment, all tested Rom.

now, I know this is not the final ROM.

I only the tested, until you, strauzo, finless, neomode and others déveloper, made a great ROM.

PS : for the time being, I returned to my RIKOMAGIC III RK3066 ( ROM Finless/2dark4u 1.7 ) which for me is the best of all ROM, for dongle android.

Ok as i thought. The center button don't work like in all the standard Android roms. Not problem.
Another chinese android and i'm reading many many problems in the cx919 specific thread.

If you want a good device instead i suggest an odroid x2 or also the new allwinner quad core A31 with the new sdk that have all source code public and a better gpu

And you don't have surprises with the source code of Android. All is standard.

Rockchip is a bad bad brand. Specially for software part. Only ads and nothing else.

but specially produce for hdmi sticks chinese android and not standard Android.

I use as example the center button of droidmote for not tech users, but in reality the problems are so many others. But mainly the incompatibility with many apps in google play.

With the Nexus rom for T428 at least you don't have this problems. but only the bad rockchip video problem like all other roms.

I know, x2 ODROID and Allwinner A31, I had a tablet before "ainol novo 7" and
was using the ROM " christianTroy", another compatriot

Maybe you're right, better a tablet with original ROM.

the x2 ODROID is fun, but when you see, that all currently separating element, and what to buy, ( it will costed expensive )

the rasperyPi, also problems in graph, according to what I read in the forum.

I think I'll wait,the tablet hybid "Windows/android", when it will cost cheap.

For the time being, I mostly use, the zotac nano AD10 ( a perfectly pure, con driver windowd 8 ), very quiet, very fast "Bootup 15 seconde, off 2 seconde", SSD Corsair sata 3 90Gb 6 Gb/s, 4 Gb RAM DDR3,
ATI graphique,all game for pc fonctional.
For me the best, media player,media box game,pc, in the world

, possibility dualboot openelec/windows.

I have a question for you strauzo or other, you think that technology Miracast ?
as I have a galaxy note 2, is what ultimately, it would not be better, the android dongle ?

I know there are some latency issues with games,

Since I deeply regret buying T428 I search for a another media player. I foung this one that, if info are right, can serve as miracast receiver. Maybe will buy next week.

1) verified, if there is a community product, forum, ROM, ...
2) for the price, do not expect it to do in Wonderland
3) for me,

if you want a good media player android, you have to buy a box android ex:
allwinner quad core A31 certified SDK 2.0 (as told strauzo)
exynox or quad core, you have to look in google.

( except RK3066 ) no rockchip RK3188, finished, because too much trouble, not open core

Thank you for your clever observations. But for me anything else rockcheap sound better. I will make my decision in one week.

Today I installed the latest FW found here:

It built for the U9 tablet.
Bad things:
WiFI is not switching on
Start up language is chinese (but I managed to navigate to English via menu)
Right click of the mouse is 'long press' not back
Not rooted

Now, on to the good things:
All UI is faster.
This is the smoothest playback I have seen from our mini pc.
No stutter and a really fast frame rate, even with the included movie player (I can't connect to Play to donwload MX)
Tested the high bitrate "birds" video, no problem. Smooth all the way to the fade out.
Kanye West "all of the lights", a video with a lot of flashing lights and colors, a true torture test for lost frames: first time I watch it like on my main PC or on SatTV.

Crossing fingers we will be getting a T428 FW with sdk2.

I just got done testing this myself! It def seems like an improvement over other roms, for a second I thought it was perfect too, but during panning scenes you can still notice jitter, the aspect ratio is also way off (all icons and video are stretched) and running that kernel the device got so hot for me it restarted itself a few times. What we really need is a kernel made for the t428, or one that works for pipo roms but is not in the boot.img of the rom.

I expect that the manufacturer, we make a respectable ROM and
Finless or another, we produce a great ROM, made only for Tronsmart T428.

I adapted your discovery to the MK908 just by swapping in the 720p kernel from Finless 1.5 for the 908. It booted up fine. Yes, it's quite fluid, and brings the benefits of 4.2.2, which the T428 Alpha Test didn't. But is it any better than the Alpha Test? I'm not sure.

Fact is, until we get a Tronsmart kernel that addresses video jitter, we're just swapping different parts of the embedded problem around.

The majority of T428 Roms on this site will run on a MK908 if you swap in a 908 kernel. The three best candidates for your 908, in my humble view, are:

1. Finless T428 Alpha Test. Works best with the kernel from Tronsmart MK908 Finless 1.4
2. CX919_422_Finless1.4

Both roms have great wifi and video is smooth, certainly much smoother than any stock rom.

You can also run Strauzo's T428 Nexus sdk2 alpha2 using his custom kernel for the 908. Smoothest video around but some drop in wifi speeds compared to the other two. Also this is an experimental rom that at times reboots spontaneously on the 908.

Any other recommended?

Have bluetooth problems (with ANker Mini Keyboard) and wifi signal is bad on the Tronsmart T428
