    Can't install 2dark4u kernel

    Hi everyone,

I recently purchased an original (I think) MK808 to play with but I'm having several problems.

    - At first I can't get it working with the 720p and 1080p 2DARK4U kernels in combination with one of Finless Bob's ROMs or the Minix Hybryid ROM (haven't tried the stock rom or any other). I always wipe the NAND first and the flashing process finishes without errors fine but every single time I get greated by this weird scrambled image of the boot screen (i think)? I'm fairly sure it's got sufficient power since I purchased a new 2.4A USB adaptor especially for this purpose. The kernels in Finless Bob's ROM packages seem to work fine although the image quality is a lot less than I expected.

-The second problem (or maybe they're related) is the HDMI plug on the MK808. When I plug in the mini-HDMI cable it's a but loose and I have to wiggle it to ensure a proper connection. If there is stress on the connector it won't display an image and sometimes even when I touch the MK808 the image disappears. It wasn't like that when I got it. I've allready changed HDMI-cables and it's better now but still a pain in the ass. Guess I was too rough while plugging and pulling out the cable during testing.

I've allready bricked my MK808 once while trying to figure OC'ing out and flashing ROMs but thankfully Finless Bob's guide on bridging the NAND pins got me sorted.

Does anyone have a suggestion about what I can try next to get OC'ing working?

What version of Android are the ROMs/kernels you've tried? I seem to remember reading somewhere on these forums that JB 4.2.2 has changed the way it outputs HDMI which isn't compatible with some TVs.

That's all I can think of apart from the possibility your unit is faulty.

That could be it. I only tried Finless 2.1 if I recall correctly. Will try with 1.7c tonight. Thanks!

I'm having the same issue with omegamoon's kernel. I've only tried it on 4.2.2, did moving back to 4.1 help?
