Android Marshmallow 6.0 External Storage Kodi Write Access SDcard USB?

Does anyone have a solution for writing Kodi media to an external SDcard or USB without formatting the card as internal?

With 5.1 and 4.4 all that was required was SDFix.apk

I found the tutorial below, however I would prefer a more simple solution for swapping between sdcard or usb.

The "Internal Format" eliminates this, but isolates the media to that box only along with all other internal storage.

I'm giving these boxes away to friends, family, and co-workers, and I would like them to be able to freely choose between sdcard or usb with a simple folder structure for Videos, Pictures, and Music

For now it seems the best solution is to only use Firmware with Android 5.1.

I am experiencing exactly the same problem even after formating the card or USB correctly within Marshmallow as PORTABLE. Within a file manger the device can bw written to but KODI is unable to write to the device. Has anyone found a simple solution other than avoiding Android 6?

            I appreciate your help!

Do you know wether there is a universal data path working for amlogic devices?

Browsing through the amlogic box I found two ways to reach the usb stick:

            /storage/80C05614C0561130

            or

            /mnt/media_rw/80C05614C0561130

while 80C05614C0561130 is the usb stick

In case I use another one I have to change 80C05614C0561130.....
