x96 help

hi i recently changed my android box from a minix x7 to a X96,
everthing seems fine with the box apart from the default remote does not function at all, which means the box cannot be turned on or turned off,
ive had to use a measy rc12 wireless keyboard/airmouse, which works to a certain degree, I can power the device off with the button on the airmouse, but once off it will not turn back on with the same button, only way to turn it back on is with the unplug and replug the power cable, which tbh is not ideal
also the enter key inputs the letter q when pressed, anyone else have similar troubles? and a resolution to these issues???

also is there any custom roms for the x96 I could try as I'm not a fan of the installed rom tbh either

So for the remote issue I would say reflash the firmware and make sure you got supplied with the correct remote(the one with the green kodi button on the top right)

As for the enter key inputting q or random characters, use a root file explorer and edit the Generic.kl file found in /system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl

Change from:

key 28 DPAD_CENTER > key 28 ENTER
