I successfully followed steps to download & install Google Market from a package called gapps-2.3.4. When I run Market however, and login with my account, I only see a subset of my apps - both paid and free. There are also some apps that cause Market to crash - like if I search for Minecraft PE and tap the paid version.
As such, I am looking for a way to install a newer Google Play Store. I have been tried several blog postings without success. Does anyone have a sure-fire go-to set of instructions that they can share?
Re: Install a more recent Google Play Store on EM543?
After restoring the Factory ROM, I copied the latest vending.apk from my Nexus 7 to the /system/app folder and installed it. Now its back to 4.0.4 with Google Play Store. Performance is good and most of my apps - purchased and free work great!
