Instructions:

Before Installation
- Make sure USB Power saving mode is disabled for the USB Port you use to flash the device
- Use a PC Back USB Port and not ones from the front or a laptop
- Pause Antivirus software for 10 minutes to not interfere with the flashing or cause high disk usage.
- Make sure device was connected to PC before in flash mode and drivers were installed

To Install the drivers
1. If flashing for the first time, you need to install the drivers with DriverInstall.exe
2. If you recently upgraded your operating system to Windows 8.1 or higher, it's also a good idea to install the latest drivers.
3. Let your PC recognize the device and automatically install the drivers
- Connect the device with an OTG Port and cable to PC
- Now connect the power adapter
- Before plugging the power adapter into the device, hold a paperclip into the reset hole of the device, keep holding it while connecting
the power. You will hear a 'click sound' that Windows has now recognized the USB device.
- It will ask to install the drivers or install it automatically.

Flashing the ROM
1. Select 'Upgrade Firmware' in AndroidTool v2.35(Second tab)
2. Click on the 'Firmware' button to load the firmware(update.img that you extracted from the 7zip compressed file)
3. Click 'EraseFlash' to wipe your device, wait for it to finish.
4. Click 'Upgrade' to flash the new firmware.
5. Wait about 2 minutes after flashing and before unplugging device for firmware to settle.
6. Disconnect from PC and connect to TV.
Enjoy

It is a custom ROM based on the latest sources for HPH RK3229 with AP6212(AP6330 also available) wifi & bluetooth.
So it has several extra features that the stock ROM doesn't have.

I will provide some snapshots later.

Stock Marshmallow firmware will also be released soon.
After release, I can make a custom MM firmware later.
It is the only RK3229 device that I know that will get MM firmware so far.

Thank you for the info.

Last question:

I have MX4 RK3229 and I am facing a lack of ram under 5.1.1, do you recommended your lollipop firmware for my device?

Your device has different wifi, so that won't work.
The IR Remote will probably also not work.
The MX4 also doesn't run stable at high clock speeds for the CPU & RAM.
I don't think the MX4 will run stable with this firmware but if you want to experiment, you can try and then just flash back to your stock firmware if needed.

The only way to increase free memory is to install a system process app to check that processes are running in the background and using unneccessary memory.
You can then root and uninstall some of those apps.
On 1GB RAM devices it is very difficult to have more than 500MB free memory.

Is Adjust Display Refresh Rate implemented in the firmware?

It will be good to see MM coming to the RK3229.

Yes, but it doesn't seem to work yet.
I hope MM will have it fully working.

It's odd that with the maturity of Lollipop and it's use in other RK SOC's that it isn't present in any of the 3229 firmwares.

It is mostly NTMC Kodi updates so no need to flash the full ROM.
I will try to upload the NTMC Kodi separately also but can only do it later.
In the meantime it will probably be faster if you download it.
There are also plans for a basic app store but it seems to be a bit difficult getting everything working for that.
MM stock firmware is around 50% finished, would be interesting to test when finished, maybe this week but definitely next week.

Already in and running no worries,
Getting the Batch tool to make the connection was the trick for me, all sorted..fine
