New version of the addon published to repository and updated on first post:

    What is new:
    • Fixed simple launcher to handle scummvm games properly. To use this feature, make sure game is extracted into a subdirectory named as per "Game Short Name" from http://scummvm.org/compatibility
    • Added option to configure the audio device for values other than hw:0,1. Now you can chose among hw:0,0 hw:0,1 hw:0,2 and hw:0,3 (hw:0,1 is still the default value)

Ok. Simple launcher does not work at all for scumm games. If i add it manually by runing core from inside retroarch it seem to work.
In the new version of the addon I try to address the scummvm game launch problem.

Keep in mind you need to copy the folder for the game (yes, full game folder uncompressed) into a subdirectory with name matching "Game Short Name" from http://scummvm.org/compatibility

So, for example, if you have simple launcher configured for scummvm core looking for games under /storage/emulators/roms/scumm and you have Indiana Jones in the Last Crusade, you should have such game into folder /storage/emulators/roms/scumm/indy3

Can you try and let us know if simple launcher works for scummvm?

I want'ed to try this but how can i reset scummvm list and let retroarch plugin rescan dir?

I have changed dir names to those included in scummvm online list but Simple Launcher still shows old ones for example:
5 times PUTTZOO and no matter which i chose kodi restarts :-(

As long as you updated the addon to j07 version I don't think you need to do anything and it will re-scan for folders automatically. The only thing you need is create the folders with the scumm games you have under the folder you previously selected Simple Launcher to look.

Hmmm i have still 7.0.2-j06 and when i chose to manually update there is no j07 - also in repository don't see never version. I will update from the zip downladed from github.

Wow! It found my Monkey Island 2, but did not found Putt Putt games. Also when i switched to hw0,0 sound works! WOW!

You r a God or smth simmilar?

UPDATE: Genesis roms from Sonic quits just after Sega Logo. Will have to test it more with core genesis_plus_gx_liberetro.so

For your Putt Putt games, make sure you follow the folder name convention from http://scummvm.org/compatibility :
              Putt-Putt Enters the Race: puttrace
Putt-Putt Goes to the Moon: puttmoon
              Putt-Putt Joins the Circus: puttcircus
              Putt-Putt Joins the Parade: puttputt
              Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo: puttzoo
              Putt-Putt Travels Through Time: putttime
              Putt-Putt and Pep's Balloon-O-Rama: balloon
Putt-Putt and Pep's Dog on a Stick: dog
              Putt-Putt & Fatty Bear's Activity Pack: activity
              Putt-Putt's Fun Pack: funpack

For Sega Genesis / Mega Drive I had very good success using picodrive core. I hope this helps.

Ok, i have a lot of games but your launcher shows only few of them even those i have changed names to the ones on the list. I guess that list is outdated because Day of the Tentacle is recognised as DOTT instead of tentacle on the list. This is good aproach but scumm list is incoherent

The simple launcher does not filter the scumm games by folder name. It just looks for any folder which contain files with certain file extensions inside. So if some of your games are not showing up it is probably because their files do not match the list of file extensions the Simple Laucher is expecting. Would you be able to provide a directory listing for one of the scumm games you have that does not show up in the simple launcher?

Hey JoKeRz thanks for sharing this it works great on mi Mini M8S with s905 (no X) except for one thing, I can't get sound any idea what might be wrong? I already tried to switch among the detected devices but no dice

edit: well as soon as I posted this I found that the addon itself has a configuration tab and I was able to select the working one there.

I was about to tell you to try those values available via addon settings. I am not sure why, but many of us empirically verified that using "hw:0,N" works while using the actual device name detected which shows up in retroarch menu does not. For that reason the addon settings has a few config options (including this audio device one) which always overwrite what you chose via retroarch menu.

I am glad you found the right audio device for you. Do you mind sharing which one worked for you? Was it hw:0,0 or hw:0,1? After we collect a few I may add a reference table to first post explaining the values that worked for specific boxes. Thanks!

For me hw;0,0 worked all the others did not

Anyone tried any shaders? I am looking to add some scan lines even if they are very simple, any ideas?

I got a Nexbox a95x recently in the mail and I installed the Dec 2nd 7.0.2.009 development build of LibreElec from Kszaq and Retroarch wouldn't boot. I ran it from the terminal and this was the error I got:

                            Code:
                            ERROR in Mali driver:
                             * Device driver API mismatch
                             * Device driver API version: 900
                             * User space API version: 800
To solve it I ended up downgrading to the last release version of 7.0.2.009 and everything works great. Thanks for putting all of this together JoKeRz.

I am glad downgrading LE made it work for you. When you faced the problem using the development version, were you also using the 32bit Libs for RetroArch addon and had the flag in retroarch addon settings to force use the libraries from the 32bit Libs for RetroArch addon?

I didn't go through the settings at the time, but I can say that it worked with a direct downgrade without reinstalling the repository or addon and without making any changes at all.

I did some further snooping I it turned out Kszaq used a version r6p1 driver in that specific development version, but he's reverting back to the version r5p1 driver in future releases due to GUI issues. If this doesn't provide any insight into the problem I'll reinstall it the development version and look into those settings.

quick edit: Not sure why I didn't mention this, but I did try the driver posted by hephooey here: http://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?t=24704 without success. I could also give an error log for that if you think it would provide some insight.

2nd edit: It works on the 7.0.3.010 build of LibreElec from Kszaq.
