    Smart Android TV Box

Hi guys, I am desperate for somebody to advise on an ongoing problem I am experiencing with streaming movies from 3rd party apps. I have purchased a rather cheap tv box which is simply called an X2. I love my movies and tend to use apps such as movie hd, cartoon hd and showbox to view them. Showbox plays without any problems however, when I try and play movie hd or cartoon hd, I have to use custom menu and can only play them through kodi.
I have other tv boxes which do not present this problem. Please help.
    Thank you.

If Movie HD and Cartoon HD play through Kodi then you should be able to install any of the standalone video players from the Play Store such as MX Player, Video Player, VPlayer, VLC etc. to play the videos via the custom menu. I don't see any benefit to using the internal video player app. You can also try Cinema Box HD, MovieDroid S, Popcorn Time, VideoMix etc.

Hi Lurker, thanks for your reply. I have all the standalone players installed but yet again, they all refuse to play the movie. I have noticed however, that a message stating https://redirector.googlevideo.com appears at the top of the screen when I attempt to play the movies via an internal player. This message refers to a virus when discussed in regards to a pc?
          I shall persevere.
          Thank you again.

Hi again Lurker. Thanks for you suggestions via PM however, no luck unfortunately. It's annoying, all I want to do is watch movies from moviehd and cartoon hd without the need to do so via a custom player. Showbox and Popcorntime play great.
I have just acquired an MX Box for free and would you believe it, I have the same problems.
I have two other boxes namely a sumvision x4 and a T8 box. No issues at all with fore mentioned apps.
              Never mind I will persevere.
              Thanks again.

Can anyone help me with a remote control issue I'm having with my M8S Plus Android tv box. I lost the remote and wonder can I use any other remote from Best Buy or something else or my IPhone?

Gearbest have many RF remotes which work a lot better than the original IR remote. Some of the RF remotes also have limited IR capabilities although I have not tested any of them myself. You can search on Gearbest for '2.4GHz Wireless Air Mouse Remote Control' if you want to see some other options (TK617, M3 and similar).

I use both of these remotes on my MXIII - I don't even have batteries in the IR remote as I use it so rarely. The MXIII has a physical ON/OFF button that I use to switch it on and I use an app to turn it off via the airmouse. You should be able to get get an additional 8% discount using the FBGBES coupon code on the Shopping Cart screen before checking out.

I can also use both of these remotes to play motion sensing and balancing games similar to the one shown in the video below.
