help with mk809 iii, identify version and unbrick

hi! i just got one of this as a gift, i already flash rom with normal phone but i've got no idea about tv stick, can you guys help me with this? when i connect the tv stick to the tv nothing happen, like i've connected nothing, so i guess it's bricked? the red light is on.. and wich model is mine? on the outside box it says mk 809 iii but i've read there's more than one version, right? thanks and sorry for my english

windows 10 is okay? or windows 7 is better for this process?

Yes Windows 10 should work.
sometimes the driver signature can be the problem in windows 10.

First select the Tab Download Image.
Then you select Boot Loader Parameter etc Then you burn it.

another question, when i connect the tvstick to the pc i have to use the side entrance, when i connect it to the tv wich micro usb should i use?

btw nothing even with this firmware, still black screen and no audio, with both micro usb. there's a software to check if it's bricked or not working?
