PIPO M9 Max Stuck At Boot Screen And Reset Does Not Help

    Hello,

After upgrading to KitKat 4.2.2 and using this tablet for a couple of years it recently was no longer able to boot.
It is stuck in "Android" boot screen and trying to reset it with metal pin does not help.

What would be your suggested steps to fix this?

    Thanks

        Hi TechincGeek ,

No , you really must flash it new , or did you try to boot to Recovery , wiped all the caches even the Dalvik and reboot , thats the only thing that maybe ??? helps ???

What kind of Recovery u have on your Device ???

The M9Max is already an old one like my old M9Pro.Do you really used the right Rom there are differnt Models with one and two Nands , if i remember it good.

        have a nice Day

I have not yet tried to boot to recovery. This tablet does not have physical volume up and down controls and I forgot how to access recovery. The ROM is a custom one - Riley's 4.2 I think or 2.6 with Android KitKat 4.2.2

In Recovery Mode I can't activate menu with commands:

Tried RK Batch Tool v1.7 for reflash using ROM from ArcTablet: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/...ware-20140604/

It failed and received fail error:

                Hi TechnicGeek ,

did u use Restore or Upgrade for this Flash ??? Try it with Restore.

Did you download the Rom new ? or was it already stored on your Pc ?

Maybe the download was not Error free ?

I think there are two different M9 Models , with one Nand and with two Nands , if i remember it good.

look this Hint on Top of the Page :

Did you tried another Rom ?

                  Hello gefattern,

                  1. I used Restore option in RK Batch Tool v1.7

                  2. Downloaded new ROM and it extracted successfully. No errors that I can recall...

                  3. Mine has 2 NAND chips and this is Riley's ROM that I upgraded to from stock ROM: http://freaktab.com/forum/tablet-sup...x-rileyrom-2-5

                  4. I did not try different ROM. Should I try the one you posted in reply? It will be Riley's again.

                    Hi TechincGeek ,

if the Rom u used is really for the "two Nand" Version of M9Max ??? try Upgrade and did you use this Rom before ???

You can try the Rom i linked , if you want and i hope it helps you to get your M9max back to live.

Last time it worked it had RileyROM 2.5.3 installed. Suddenly it stopped working and was stuck at boot logo. Tried downloading KitKat 4.4.2 Kasty firmware and after process almost complete had "Download firmware fail" message.

I wanted to flash with RileyROM 2.6.4 and using ROM Flash Tool v1.37 I have reached the stage with NAND testing. It did not fail but it kept counting memory over and over when it was close to 16384, every time restarting count. I had to disconnect and after reconnecting and restarting flashing process it would no longer reach NAND testing stage. It would now be at lower format stage where same thing would be happening as with NAND but now it's with formatting:

I tried RK Batch Tool v1.7 and reconnected cable. The tablet would now disconnect after every 10 seconds and reconnect back thus interrupting Test Device stage but
even if it was at 97%, it would resume from that point. It was never 100% and it started all over:

If I released power button I would get this error:
