MK908 has bad WIFI, need to wire an antenna

I bought 3 set of MK908, all have very bad WIFI connection. The only way of connection is to put the unit next to wifi router, in my case it is within 50cm.
The root cause is MK908 has a ill built-in antenna, which is no better than trash. I remove the case and connect a cheap antenna to the pin on PCB. Then i found the fix act like a charm, wifi problem all gone. The speed test shows MK908 now has the same connection speed as my NB.
Many people feel upset about MK908, i think you should. FW update can hardly solve this connection issue, consider a real antenna.

My MK908 (version 3 board) only has the one built-in pin antenna and I get surprisingly great reception (my MK908 is upstairs, whereas my router is downstairs on opposite side of house). I consistently get 4-5 bars of WiFi (-50 to -40 dBm with WiFi analyzer) where my A500 tablet only gets 3-4 bars (-60 to -50 dBm) in the same location. Guess I got lucky with mine. I was very surprised at how decent my unit was handling WiFi with just that little pin antenna.

Hi, I want to make the same mod, but don't known on which pin to use. Can you please give more details about you mod?

      thanks

Mine is also V3 board. I wonder if the aluminum foil antenna on the case get rusty.

Open the case of MK908, you will find only one standing pin with small mark "ANT" beside.
