Wallpaper change help

can you please help me point out where the wallpaper folder can be found in the system folder in arnova 7b g2 when using root explorer..having a hard time finding it...

Look in dcim, that should be where it it

thanks for the quick reply..tried to search for it but it shows its in the flash memory not the internal memory..also the wallpaper files aren't there...

If you have an sd card, look in root explorer for the mount directory and select external sd card, I presume you are just looking for pictures from your gallery

nope..im looking for the default system wallpapers so i can change them to better ones...got no files in the sd card coz i just re-flashed again and using root explorer to find it but still no luck..i tried doing the search but it didnt give me any good results..

Just long press on your homescreen and an option will pop up for wallpaper, live wallpaper etc

that's what i'm trying to aim, to change the available wallpapers in the wallpaper section when holding the screen down coz they are really not that good. when doing that way, you cant use your pictures in the sd card but when you go to gallery, it will try to crop the image to use for wallpaper even if i already got the actual size of 800X480 for the wallpaper..

All of the STOCK supplied wallpapers are in an APK. Thery are not seperate files.
You can use your own pictures as wall paper but if you want to remove specific stock wall papers you have to remove them all by removing the APK.

In /system/app is livewallpapers.apk.

Delete that and they will be gone.

ah..i see..if i may ask bob, can you actually open that apk file and change the wallpapers inside or do you actually know how to make an apk file that will contain other wallpapers?

Yes you can. Research APKTool!
Youtube has some good tutorials on that as well

This has always bugged me about my 7G2. Why cant I set a properly cropped wallpaper?? I have googled it and no answers which made me think it was just me but reading hellfoot's post shows its not. Anyone know why or how to fix I would be really greatfull to know.

Use wallpaper wizardri from the market and this will allow full screen no crop
