        Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I have tried all firmware from
        http://chinagadgetsreviews.com/firmw...-tv-stick.html
        http://chinagadgetsreviews.com/firmw...v-stick-2.html
        http://chinagadgetsreviews.com/downl...-tv-stick.html

And few others - none work for me...
Every time to flash a new image, I need to short pins on NAND - this allows the RK tool to recognize device and flash. But despite successful flash the stick will not boot....
I don't have a decent camera, but this is the PCB:

nitially I tried to solder wifi antenna, but that neither improved nor worsen the wifi... (I am not even sure if those are solder pads for antenna to be honest)
At this point I will take ANY version that boots, or maybe I am doing something wrong? I just flash the image with RKBatchtool 1.8 - wait for it to go green and then disconnect and reboot.

        CPU: RK3229 SDDKN070061
        WIFI: RTL8703AS
        NAND: SK HYNIX H27UCG8T2ETR

          Hi gupii ,

first please let the Device a little bit longer connected to Pc after flashing maybe 4 to 5 minutes ,

so it can do his work first .

second , do you have a unified storage or splitted ??? , ever tried AndroidTool 2.35 with "erase Flash"

          Function for flashing ???

third , do you have a stock Firmware and does it boot ???

maybe you have to use differnt parts from 2 Roms .

          please answer

          nice Day

            Thanks gefattern,

I have waited up to 20min, no luck.
I have not tried AndroidTool, will try that. I don't have the stock firmware, because as dumb as I am - I did not think to copy it first, before I flashed a different one....
Many thanks for trying to help - I will try the Android tool and let you know.

            Regards,

                No boot...
                Firmware was from http://chinagadgetsreviews.com/firmw...-tv-stick.html

I did write them for FW link, but no luck - and seller I bought it from on aliexpress is now gone, not selling anything

I don't know how to check if I have any partitions in flash - all ReadFlash etc in AndroidTool fail. I don't know what the stock firmware was exacly, but it was 5.1.1 - not sure about kernel.
Thanks again for your help, do you know how can I check for partitions on NAND?

                  Hi gupii ,

                  http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...w-rom-by-mo123

to see if it works .

Do you know if the stock FW had a unified Storage or not ???

and can u still reach the recovery ???

                  good luck

Hey - same case, writes flash without problems, does not boot...
I don't know if it had unified storage, recovery is not working. The device is not booting up at all I think - there is a blue led which informs if device is on. It has to levels of brightens - it lights up slightly when there is power and then gives more light when system is up (or starting). At least this was with stock firmware.
Now it only lights up slightly and stays like that - no boot progress whatsoever....

Lesson learned for me - COPY NAND BEFORE YOU FLASH

I think I have bricked this beyond repair...

Hi. i flash the firmware, everything went cool.
But when i connect it to the power, the blue lights turns on but lighter than before.
nothing appears on screen. try to enter in recovery (pushing the reset button and plug in the power) but nothing happened.

i was trying to do a downgrade beaceuse my 5.1.1 android version wasnt working well.

any ideas how to revive my device??

its the black dongle with the red antenna. some pics of the inner device

                      EDITED 21-01
I found the way to flash it, shot the 7 and 8 pin of the nand.
batchtool recongnizes it, but it appears in blue.
im looking now for the firmware. try a few and the stick doesnt work

anyone has the firmware for this crazy litle stick??
                      Hi.

I'm with the same problem as you.

Can you please post an image with which pins should we short to flash it?

                        Hi all.

                        I'm having a similar problem. Mine is as MK809IV RK3229 RL8703AS 2G/8G.

With roms from chinagadgetsreviews I get stuck in logo. With roms from this forum, not even the logo appears and I have to short the pins go get it recognized by the pc (although with chinagadgetsreviews roms that doesn't happen).

Anyone can figure out what could be the problem?

I tried UT6 roms 1.0.0 and 1.1.1 - 1.1.1 does not flash correclty, 1.0.0 does flash, but doesn't boot. So, still no luck...

                              Edit:
I found one interesting thing here:

                              quote:
I opened up a V88 and MX4 to compare. The V88 board is actually labeled MX4N-V02. The MX4 board is marked MX4-V10. The V88 has a different wireless chip, SV6051P. While the MX4 has RTL8703AS.

So it may be possible to use firmware for MX4-V10 - so far I haven't found it...
