And what else does not suffice? on Y8, in my opinion, everything is working.

10 bit at 264? Did you try vlc or another player install codex that will play it most need those before it plays. Kinda a old crap one to have media files on.

Hi10P (L3.0-L5.0) playback HW in MXplayer 1.7.40 ONLY (rk3399).
(+FTMC/TVMC).
L5.1, it seems, will not be played at all.
Especially for Yundoo Y8 will soon be HW support Hi10P in new versions MXplayer.

We have already discussed with our developer team. In future MX builds, this chipset [Yundoo Y8] will be whitelisted for Hi10 playback.

Not a big deal, convert it to something it can support if it's such a need..

VLC plays only in software mode with skipping frames!
HW mode only MXplayer 1.7.40 and FTMC.

P.S. I, like many others, watch exclusively with Japanese voice acting.
