Tonight after a lot of rigorous testing I have found that my nexbox a1 s912 octacore is doing some really shifty stuff.
I am using the stock 6.0.1 firmware that came on the box but have modified it by removing a large portion of apps and some useless libraries from the back end.
So here is the run down, I cannot use any Bluetooth devices without an active Internet connection. The moment I disable the internet my Bluetooth peripherals all hang. which means that someone is probably monitoring hardware states on the box.
can anyone else confirm that their BT devices will not connect without an active connection for me please?
I have also noticed that there seems to be some sort of tap-jacking overlay in the default browser that shows its tell tale signs by causing issues with the framebuffer like a visual tearing effect coupled with the mouse pointer disappearing.
NONE of these things should happen there is absolutely no reason for a Bluetooth device to be dependant on an internet connection.. there is something gravely wrong here folks. I've spent plenty of time with Linux and nix-like systems to see when some shadey s*%t is going down...
i haven't had time to trace connections with wireshark as of yet but it might be something that should be looked into asap. I have heavily modified the ROM down to a few core components and the issue still exists. which leads me to believe it may be cooked into the kernel but I am not absolutely sure.
if I am wrong about things feel free to tell me specifically as to why this s*^t may be happening but usually when I get a wiff of bull s*it I am generally right...
