MXQ pro white air mouse cursor

I have a newish mxq pro with marshmallow it has
mhc19j.20160927 test-keys
firmware, but when I use a mouse the mouse pointer is white and invisible under advanced settings and a lot of aps.

Can the colour be changed?

I can't find an option to do this. Can I install a new firmware?
Tried the latest p201-ota-20160118.zip via sd card but it won't install.

Is there a fix via replacing a file using ecs file explorer?

Any advice is appreciated.

All you can do is to change the Mouse Courser in framwork-res.apk.
Inside there is a png file with the mouse courser you need to replace it with a new one you like.

No, you have to pull out framework-res.apk from /system/framework and modify on your PC.
Or you can pull the file from your device and send me, I can mod it for you.

Hello copied the file over to an usb drive using ecs explorer
I opened the file with WinRAR on my pc
Copied over pointer_arrow.png modified it and transfered back into the framework-res.apk file.
But ecs explorer won't let me replace the file because its read only.
Do I need a routed firmware or can I change the file to rw in ecs explorer so I can copy over.
I am 75% there.

you need a rooted device or access with adb to it and remount it read write.

Before your quick reply I had a flash of inspiration
Rename the file
Copy the new file which has a diifernt name
then rename the new file to framework-res.apk

As soon as I renamed framework-res.apk to zframework-res.apk
the system stoped working.
Now it won't boot up.

Even if I turn on using cocktail stick in av port and choose factory reset.
I guess my only option is to install the same firmware again from an sd card.
T tried this butr it said software is older than current version.
Any ideas how to unbrick?

This will recover your Box.

I have the amlogic usb burning tool and the correct cable.
The files I have downloaded are rar files and when I extract I get a few img files.
When I try any import any the tool says parse error.

Does anyone know where I can download the files that will work with the amlogic usb burning tool.

The mode I have is MXQ pro 6.0.1 model G9CX the box says v905x on it.
