    Tx5 Pro Help

I had a few questions hopefully someone can help. I was using amazon fire sticks for almost 2 years they ran my kodi build flawless, zero buffing, freezing ect no issues at all. So since they have been sold out a lot decided to go with a a android box. I grabbed the Tx95 and the Tx5 pro which are both s905x 2gb/16gb storage thinking these would blow away the sticks. I could run even more add-ons with the storage.

My issue is the box came packed with junk i never use it was already rooted so i installed some apps to remove the unwanted apps based off some of the custom roms i seen on here, removed pppoe, the browser, file browser, video player, kodi data and reinstalled kodi 17 with my same build from the sticks. I had tv launcher installed but thought it was slowing it down so i deleted it.

When i launch kodi it runs very slow loading thumbnails as well as navigation within kodi. Is there anything i can do to fix this? My build is only 500mb with a few addons aeon nox silvo 5 skin. I notice my memory has 700mb free i see that the play store is eating it up, can i safely remove the play store? I flashed some of the custom roms on here they run but the wifi fails to work so resorted back to stock image. My wifi chip is the 9377. The box is located within 1ft away from the router.

I have two TX5 Pro boxes (9377). I flashed one box to the stock 20161121 ROM from the Geekbuying blog. The other came with a version from December, which I haven't touched.

Like you I got rid of some of the garbage, including the installed Kodi build, but installed Kodi 17 fresh from Play Store. I don't have anything major installed in Kodi apart from Exodus, and use the new default skin (Estuary) Both boxes work fine. There's really no lag at all.

I don't think removing Play Store will help (and might end up causing more hassle). I suspect your best bet is to start with a clean Kodi, even though it's a pain
