I thought Nova didn't run well on your box, that's why I suggested Apex.

There is no such thing as to much power when it comes to power supplies... Sometimes the PS gives lower voltage then 5V (4,8 or less) and this can cause instability in some cases (depends on the boxes Elektronik).

Can anyone recommend an alternative launcher? I have Nova launcher, but it's not meant for a box like the Zidoo X6 Pro. Zidoo's own launcher (Lollipop based) is good, but am not sure if side loading it will work.

The ap6330 resource would be nice but I use this workaround in the meantime. Some versions of this Rom won't allow it though. I forget off hand which ones work and which don't, sorry. http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...ap6330-chipset

From my brief trials, they run along with the built in screen saver. I'll look into it more though.

Built-in screensaver options are very limited and don't always work.

mo123, I posted in wrong thread earlier. How do I get the screensaver to work? It won't stay saved. As soon as I back out it's not activated again. Using i68g. This is the only Rom with no stutter for me.

hi mo123 and gefattern, I solved harddisk reading problem on my tronsmart with mo123's firmware. I used a 5v/3a adapter and problem solved. Now I can play movies from harddisk.

I will check if I can add it but it might be difficult as code is hex and source code use decimal numbers that is completely different, you can't just add it as it will cause bootloops.
But will have to test it first if there are no negative side effects if I can get it to work.
I don't like to overclock the CPU as it doesn't provide a sufficient performance increase and degrade lifespan of devices.
Overclocking the RAM, VPU has a far greater increase in overall performance and video playback.
What do you think of this method?
While Coolios Rom has low 3D scores in Antutu his UX and CPU scores are amazing...
This trick is easier as you do not have to disable all the security checks etc
