Ott Tv MXQ Box

My ott mxq box does not come on again it just shows a red light when i try to switch it on. on tv screen it briefly says connecting and goes off without connecting.Can somebody pls help. i am new to this kind of gadget. Thanks.

you need to create boot sd card with correct firmware on loads of instructions in forums and if that fails reflash image using usb burning tool on pc its all trial and error

I remember.. when bought my mxq, a week later the adaptor give out
It hat enough power to light up the led...but not enough amp to power up/boot the tvbox

So, try replacing the adaptor

Good suggestion mitchell4you. These power supplies can be problematic and a weakness.

Can anyone help me please. I have a MXQ-4K box. It just shows the red light when i attach the power. I have tried the reset with the toothpick and still just a red light. Has anyone got any ideas what I can do?

What happens when you toothpic it? Does anything come onto the screen?

Are you doing the toothpic, plug in power and keep holding for 30 seconds say before releasing?

Please can someone help me. I updated my firmware from chinagadgets.com, the firmware installed and now my MXQ won't power on. Even after I've used the toothpick method again. I've also noticed the Ethernet cable lights are off. Do I try and install new firmware? What can I do?
