    Pipo M7 Pro RileyROM 1.0

    Pipo M7 Pro RileyROM 1.0

Pipo has introduced another tablet in the M Pro line called the Max M7 Pro. This is an 8.9" tablet with the Rockchip 3188 quad core processor.

Although the official Pipo site does not have a firmware update yet for the tablet, I ran across one...so I decided to put out a RileyROM for this tablet.

According to the build.prop this ROM was done with Rockchip SDK 2.0

It is rooted with 2,4,6 or 8gb user app space, init.d support, Google Play Store fixes, and debloated.

If this is the first time you are flashing a Freaktab ROM, please read and follow closely the instructions included in the First Time User's Guide included in the zip. This will save you and I some headaches from the start.

    Thanks to:
Tattman65 for his amazing boot screens
Pr0xZen for the First Time User's Guide
    Petrus for his Reboot app
And the rest of the Freaktab team for their support

    Here is the download link:

Thanks! I've ordered one of these, but it doesn't have the PRO in it's name, is it the same thing?

PiPO M7 Quad Core RK3188 8.9 inch IPS GPS Android 4.2 Tablet PC RAM 2GB

It won't arrive for a few days yet, but as a n00b I downloaded the file and checked the Readme and the pdf and was really impressed with the straightforward instructions

One question- I live in the middle of nowhere and don't have any access to Windows boxes with recent OS versions on them. The only Windows box I have is XP home edition from around 2002.

The files inside the .zip seem to have facilities to work with XP, but will I need internet access from the XP Win box to flash the ROM? It won't do internet at all. I'll move the RileyROM files to it via USB and install from there if I don't need any bandwidth to complete the install

Actually, Windows XP is the easiest OS to flash from, fewer issues with the wrong drivers loading automatically...people started having more problems with all Windows versions since XP. So you are fine, there. That's why we concentrate on Windows 7 and 8 so much, because there are more problems with them.

There is absolutely no requirement for internet access to use the flash tool. I'm not sure where you read that. As long as you can copy the zip file over to your XP box...you're in business...just follow the instructions.

Yes, there is only one version of the M7...I find that different vendors very the name on their sites. Realsize that most of the vendors are in China, some things get really lost in translation. I use the official name that Pipo posts on their site for my ROM names which is very possibly different from what the vendor sites list the products. I know that the M7 is a brand new product, but there ARE different variations of the M8 and M9's...so before ordering...do your homework. Check specs like screen resolution and CPU model...those are different between the versions.

        Many, many thanks for this

I inferred it as a possibility from the pdf, just thought I'd check

Resolution was one of the reasons I picked the tablet: 1280 * 800

And before I forget what CPU model, I'll put it here: RK3188, Quad Core, 1.6GHz

Will give you feedback once it's done. The guides seem to be so well put together!

            I think yours is not the pro-version. M7 pro-model has resolution of 1920 x 1200.

But still waiting for my tablet to arrive..

The readme file was an oversite, sorry.

I will see if a new firmware is available.

                        Pipo M7 Pro RileyROM 1.0

The progression is by firmware releases from Pipo. I would go with the most recent.

I just received an update, and hope to have a v1.2 soon.
