All that $$$, and the same old chintzy remote, not even a pause/play button on the remote. Don't get me wrong, but I do like those chintzy remotes for most of the Android applications and especially Kodi. Even thought I have dozens of different remotes, I still prefer the stock remote for most of my Android boxes (strange I know).

You are going to wait a very long time to get the firmware.
Maybe it's better to send it back and wait for better supported RK3399 devices that will also get firmware updates?

No other RK3399 firmware has been released yet that can work on that tv box.
The manufacturer will probably also not release any new firmware as seen in the past for their devices.
You bought an expensive brick and can either keep it and wait for the small possibility that there will be a slightly better firmware in the future or return it.
It's never a good idea to buy the first rushed to market devices.

I agree with mo123. It isn't always good idea to buy first product on the market. Especially from some unknown producer.

Besides. For me the whole RK3399 SoC is suspicious. RockChip announced this SoC on April 2016 with schedule for lunch of first commercial devices for about end of July 2016. But we get more than half a year later a first device. That's fishy.
