          - Is there any custom rom available for the new PIPO M9pro? Can i just flash the ones for the older model?

Also i have some doubts about buying a PIPO tablet, so i guess this is the right place to ask:

          - The pipo pro have better screen resolution, im wondering if this will cause a noticiable decrement in battery life or i shouldnt bother much about this

          - I've read in a couple of thread in this forum that users suggest to buy from geekbuying, googling "pipo"
I came across a site (http://www.pipo-store.com/) where the prices are significantly lower, but the official pipo site links to http://www.pipomall.com/ as official shop. Is pipo-store scam?

          - the bluetooth/wifi problem have been fixed?

          - is overall pipo m9 a good buy? in particular battery life and web browsing speed

Its a lot of question i know! Good advices are welcome

I tired to buy from pipo-store.com two years ago when I was investigating my first tablet purchase. I think Pipo-store.com might be Pipo's kfirst attempt at an online store. I believe it is defunct as I never got anything but an automated response to my order, a bogus purchase order number, and they never debited my credit card for my purchase. After two months of trying to get a response, I canceled the order and got another automated response stating Pipo-store.com had canceled my order. The prices are so good because they are old and on a defunct site they abandoned, I believe.

Before you buy Pipo, read my experience with my attempt to upgrade my M9.

NO, the puter does Not recognize the tablet, at all. It does
not recognize it if I plug in the power cable and the usb
cable on the tablet first, and then run the batch tool, it
does not recognize the tablet If I run the batch tool first
and then plug in the tablet. It does not recognize the
tablet. Windoze says it does not Recognize the device, not
that it is Unknown, it does not Recognize it, and I either
have to plug in the device or replace it. I have tried every
driver from every flashtool on every android site on the
internet, and Windoze does not recognize the tablet. I have
reloaded every device driver on my XP notebook. I have done
a factory reset of the tablet, NOTHING works. And all I get
out of Pipo is a recommendation to load the F***ing drivers
First. You think I ain't tried That???

          NO, NO, NO!

You can stand on your head clinching a pitchfork between
your but cheeks and press all the buttons you want, this
P.O.CRAP tablet will not register in Win Xp. Not in rock
tools, not in supersport, not in device manager, not on a
dell notebook running Win Xp, not on a desktop running Xp

          Pro,
not on an Asus nb running Win 7, NO NOTHING WILL LOAD THE
DRIVERS FOR OR RECOGNIZE THIS PIECE OF C PIPO M9 Max RK3188
          tablet.

You can check usb debugging, you can uncheck usb debugging,
you can stick a pin in its a*$ and hold reset while holding
esc, or power, or punch all three while whistling God Save
the F*ing King and this toilet paper holder of a tablet will

          not
          register in Windoze.

          Ms. Chen (Pipo support),

I tried to connect to M9 on my win xp pc, my daughter's win
7 Pc, rk3188 driver from Pipo, drivers from xdadevelopers,
          tabletrepublix, flashmyandroid Nothing recognizes this
dipwit tablet. The usb does not work. The method in your
youtube video Does Not Work. I tried upgrading with 3
different CWM update.zips found on xdadevelopers.com,

Nothing will recognize, connect or upgrade this tablet. As a
toy it is fine, as a serious programming tool it is a Joke.
The usb does Not Work. NO key combination for this thing
works. No usb driver will load. NO img file will load, no
          update.zip file will load.

I bought my new pipo max m9, from a vendor in China. I
really like this tablet, however, when I tried to upgrade to
Android 4.2, my xp notebook I am using for the update says
it "does not recognize my new device" and I need to
"re-attach it or replace the device". No driver from your
site solves the problem, the Rk3188 tool does not load the
tablet, no matter what key, button or reset combination I
          try.

I was able to get to the CWM refresh screen in my fumbling
around, I get an android laying down with its chest plate
open and a red triangle with an exclamation point extending
from its thorax. I take this to mean it is attempting a CWM
update, but there is no valid CWM zip update file to load. I
have a cwm update.zip for my android tv box, on a 32 gb
micro SD card. I plugged it into the M9, it obviously does
not upgrade the machine, but it does give me an error
message to the efect that this is not a valid update.zip
file. This would indicate I Could update with a valid CWM
update.zip If i could get one.

I am hoping that my problem with my notebook recognizing my
M9 is M9 software/driver related, as I can find No driver
that will load for this tablet. I hope this problem might be
solved by an android update, which I could perform through a
CWM upgrade, IF I could get a valid 4.2 update.zip image for
          my M9 tablet.

I have been able to connect a usb flash drive to the usb hub
of the M9, and it reads the usb flash drive, which makes me
think the problem may be software related, or at least
confined to the standard usb port.

The vendor I bought it from sold it to me as having 3g
installed, with GPS, but it has no 3g, and it has no GPS, it
took so long to get it from China, that I just kept it.
Other than that, and this recent problem with connecting to
the usb port, the M9 has met my every expectation. As I had
been able to transfer files through bluetooth and via my
micro SD card, the issue of the standard usb port never came
up, until I tried to upgrade the OS.

          rk30sdk-eng4.1.1 JR003H 20130319 release-keys

seems to indicate the tablet is a V2 version, but that
information comes from an android tech site forum, not
from your documentation, you would know better than I.

As I said, I have had no other problems with this tablet,
wifi works, bluetooth works, just the standard usb port has
some issue and I cannot get any driver to recognize the
tablet or load in Win XP.

Do I need to send this back to your factory for a
replacement? Can you get me a valid CWM Android 4.2.2
update.zip rom, to determine if this is a software or
          hardware issue?

I bought this tablet based on my daughter's positive
experience with the Pipo S2 that I bought her for college,
and your reputation for solid tablet architecture.

If you can help me with this issue I would most appreciate
          it.

          Sincerely,
          me and my address

            pipo-store.com is a scam

Please be careful, pipo-store is a scam, I bouth a tablet from them and it never arrived although they always send you a generic reply to to your questions via contact form that the product was shipped. The product status never changes from Processing. They will not provide a tracking number. When you ask for it they give you a random number but no system where to track it. They don´t answer your questions and they don´t have a phone number even though their invoice includes information that you can contact them by phone. Although their domain seem to be registered in US when I send an e-mail to their US registrar they replied that this domain has never been hosted or registred with them and that the WHOIS data are incorrent. I had to eventually dispute the transaction both with my bank and Im waiting for their reply.

The people above me who say that they ordered something from pipo-store.com are the thiefs.

              That's not good news.
Sorry to hear you have had problems, I hope your bank sorts it out for you.

I am certainly not a thief. I ordered my M9Pro from there, but ordered it using PayPal and chose DHL delivery, mainly because I have been burnt a number of times buying from China.
PayPal gives a certain amount of protection, as you can raise a dispute within 45 days from purchase (MUST be done within this timeframe) and DHL international delivery only takes a few days and always has a tracking number. So if I hadn't recieved it within a fortnight, I'd have raised a dispute and been eligible for a refund.

For what it's worth, since I got burnt last time(dodgy outfit on AliExpress sending out faulty 2nd hand goods as new), everything else I have bought has been from Geekbuying and they have been spot-on.

Hi Jimac thanks for your reply. I think you are lucky. It seems they practice selective scamming, which some scammers do, it is more difficult to prove that you were ripped off, if there are some positive reviews. I found only this page where two other people complained, the third one is mine.
Read reviews and news about online Chinese store Pipo Store. Leave your comments and reviews about Pipo Store Chinese Android phone and tablet online store.

Pipo-store is an advertiser here and we take allowing people to advertise here very seriously!
If an advertiser cannot deliver or we get a lot of complaints, we drop them like a hot potato!

I suggest posting this in the pipo-store support forum area! This is an area we setup specifically for advertisers so they know and we know the issues. Random posts in tech forums like this can get missed.

Hi Billcnz, I´m afraid they practice selective scamming, which means they sent the product to some people and to some don´t. I´m glad you are happy with your order, but see what they replied to my repeated request asking them for a tracking number:

See the tracking information as follows :
                        Destination Country - Unknown:Tracking Consuming:0 Millisecond
                        Origin Country - Singapore:Tracking Consuming:8035 Millisecond
                        2014-01-21 00:00, Received from Customer
The package is on the way now and hope you can get the package soon .

I would think that tracking number is that you get a number and a system where you can track the order, not that someone tracks that for you by e-mail, it doesn´t sound like tracking to me. But if you look at the details Destination Country - Unknown: .... pathetic isn´t it.

To my question asking why the Destination Country is - Unknown they copied and paste they previous e-mail telling me that the product was shipped. The package is on the way now and hope you can get the package soon .

To my other request to clarify why status of the order is still Processing in my account on their website they answere again with the same e-mail telling me that the product was shipped.

                        David

Just to keep you updated. I have finally received my money back from Bank of America through Paypal after two months and Paypal sent the locked account of the pipo-store.com owner for collection. There eventually is some justice out there.

When I sent to that guy a final notice by e-mail that unless I receive my money back his account will be sent for collection he replied: Can you please close the Paypal dispute? And if I mind telling him why I opened the dispute? I was like WTF??? You stole my money and youŕe asking me why I want them back?
