Remote.conf on RK3229 devices

I have flashed the mx plus II box with Schishion V88 FW and everyrthing seems to work except wifi and remote. The Wifi problem I have offset by using LAN, and the remote is actually working, but all butons except power, menu, return and directional arrows are mis-mapped (actually both remote's are exactly the same in button layout, it's just that small buttos have different functions attached to them)...I could well live with this if only OK button were working as well, but it does not...it occured to me to try copy remote.conf from the original firmware to the current unoriginal one but I for the sake of me cannot find the remote.conf file anywhere in roots of either firmware...anyone have an idea what to do, either how to locate the remote config files or another idea...I suppose messing with keylayout files will help me nought...
