...I have some good news. At least as far as debugging goes, it's good news. Some progress as far as hunting down the issue is concerned.
For the first time ever, I've finally been able to reproduce the 'stuttering' audio on my device. That's good because it means I now finally know what users have been talking about, and I also can debug more closely to see exactly what it is I changed to finally bring the issue to my device. Bad news is that what causes the stutter on my device, might just be the cure on the i68/R68 that have the stutter when mine doesn't. Because when people report the stutter I never have it, and never knew what it was or sounded like until today in testing...

Can anyone with stuttering audio grab a dmesg and post it here, please?
I noticed when I reproduced the issue I saw the RK video service stop, reset and restart repeatedly in the logs. The issue is most likely with the vpu configuration.
I eliminated the issue causing the vpu to reset and haven't been able to produce any more stuttering. If anyone can produce a log it would be mighty helpful. Platback YouTube or whatever media shows stuttering and after simply run dmesg and we can compare the output and I suspect there'll be similar behavior.

Here are 2 dmesg logs from wasser firmware.
What happened:
I'v played Angry Birds Transformers game. Suddenly it froze (for long). I was able to go back to OS (game in background) and made logs. There was an issue with sound too. It was not as like "stutter" but like continuous noise. This noise was happening even when game was terminated (log 2 is when game was terminated but noise is still there). After some loooong time noise stopped but there was no audio at all and OS was lagging even in settings. Everything returned to normal only after hard restart (power disconnect).
So it may be related. During game I have some freezes like for 1-4 seconds when sound disappear - but then it returns back when unfreezing.
This long sound problem is first time so it must be very rare like stuttering problem.

Your issue is a nasty segfault that occurs due to wasser's kernel and resource. I've never seen anything like that on my firmware. Something is wrong with the graphics in that build and it spills into the audio, I don't anything else because I've never had that build on my device nor do I know what's in that resource/kernel specific to that bug.
Still have yet to receive a single dmesg with my firmware. That's why I closed the thread the first time, it's pointless if no one wants to participate in finding a solution.
Unlike other contributors here, I don't work for any manufacturer, directly or indirectly, and that's why I don't brand my releases with any manufacturer's logos, or confine my work to a specific set of devices.
I don't have the i68/R68. I'm only trying to help. But if there's no interest in being a part of the solution I'll just close the thread instead of spinning my wheels to no end. Users want complete firmware, but don't want to be a part of getting there, or already have that complete solution.
Thanks for all your feedback, I'm not closing this thread in any way as a response to your post, please don't think that at all.
I've posted here more than anyone else, and I don't even have that device ... that alone should tell the story. Little interest in finding out what's really going on, and some seem to think the problem has already been solved elsewhere. I know it hasn't, but as far as I'm concerned, I'll just focus on my true octacore builds.

Members please test the firmware provided that way a base of issues from that can be checked. Its benifical to those with this device so help out testing whats asked to be tested. Cross firmware testing between different kernels ect causes more issues. So test as directed. Thanks for pitching in.
Best RegardsMany devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.
