Which firmware is current and best for MK808b Plus?

I have had this tiny stick for a couple of years, but now, when I do want to use it, it's slow, Wifi is buggy, etc... I am on Android 4.4.2, and it's on firmware 109k4. I have tried google, and see some saying that there is a 113, and a 114, but want to NOT brick this. Looking for the current and best firmware for this to run Kodi, mostly... nothing else really...
Is there an update to Android 5 or 6, or is that not possible?
Also, what does Finless mean? Or is it just a name?

I see the stickies with the mods, and I'm new to that stuff, looking to be able to update via SD, unless something else works as well or better. I have some knowledge, with the help of people here, was able to update and re install better firmware on a Rockchip RK3368 box... so if I have to use a PC for this little stick, I can figure that out too.

I have been running LibreELEC (originally OpenELEC) on my MK808B Plus for a couple of years or more. I am running it on a microSD card, so my Android is still on the stick, but never use it.

I have read about that, but I was hoping to improve Wifi, which I have read was improved as well as processor speed with firmware updates
