    Which Box to Get?

I am looking to get an android box with an ethernet port and at least 2 USB ports. Can someone explain the difference between K-R42, CS918, MK888, and Jesurun DX05. Are they all the same just with difference packaging and labels? Will ROMs from one work on the others? I am also interested in video playback abilities. I don’t need 1080p, but 720p would be nice. Also would like to use XBMC but if another player works better I would like to know your experiences.

    Hi
I've got the C918 and i opened to find out whats inside.. I found that its exactly the same with K-R42. Even the codes on all chips are the same. I believe the same for MK888 but not sure as there are no pictures yet.

All these boxes do not have Bluetooth. but if Bluetooth is a must for you, you can buy the bluetooth version from geekbuying. This ROM probably will not work for the BT version (different wireless chipset), but im sure a suitable ROM will be released soon.

btw i just installed the K-R42 Hybrid Firmware (HFW) 1.0.0 by lewy20041 and works fine on my C918. Im still testing but all functions seems to work!

Edit : Yes, prefer geekbuying, same price, better support. I wish i was patient enough to buy it from them.

I get K-R42 from geekbuying.com and as I said in other thread.
To me its best device to get now.
I can't see any video jitter etc its working nice and stable.
I dont know for sure if others you mention are the same or not but with the one from geekbuying you for sure
      get better support.

I agree, a very good box, especially better with Lewy20041's rom. The only negative is lack of 1080p playback.

Please see different among K-R42, CS918 and MK888 as below.

MK888---- Include AV cable + IR Remote
          K-R42-----do not include AV cable
CS918---- have different remote from MK888

Now, all above three model is made by same factory.
All above three items do not include Built-in Bluetooth.

now, i found that there are a built-in Bluetooth version MK888B in China.
MK888B is second version for MK888, MK888B is better now !!!!!!!!!!

                @lewy20041

So 720p playback from hdd is smooth via mx player? Is xbmc ok on
this device? And one more question about remote, is it IR model? So i can't place k-r42 behind tv like android stick. To do that i need flymouse? I was checking this model:

                http://dx.com/p/rii-rt-mwk13-mini-wi...rophone-201879

If someone have it i would like to know is it good. Need learning remote too for my tv.

I am very interested in those tvbox, I think they are better option than the stick form, a decent antenna is necessary in this type of devices, I think they must have better heat dissipation, ethernet port and the additional usb ports, when geekbuying got stock of the new one with bt, I am thinking to take one of them. I dont use bt usually, but it will be fun develop in this one.

I was thinking about mele f10, but if i had understood well, that is not learning remote. Ir is only for mele media center. Previously i had ipazzport, very good model, but that one rii mini has more buttons (numerical ir keypad for example) and i can add up to 8 devices. Ok nice to hear that finally one of 3188 models is stable as media player. It's then good enough for me (old mk808 was great for my needs too) and its unbelieveable that quad core device will be worse than dual core one.
