cwm recovery .... how to on a stick ?

i have a t428 ,the correct recovery.img (downloaded here from finless) and the RomManager app.

i don't know how to install the img file,or even use the app, cause there are no volume buttons on the stick.
in RomManager under install or update i get a "unsupported device",
i tried "install rom from sd card" ,it didn't work and i don't think this is correct.......

there must be a tutorial somewhere..... a link to it would be great!

If you have an ACTUAL cwm recovery (and not just some recovery.img),

    (from rkflash, rkflashtool, or RKAndroidTool.exe)
    1. extract recovery.img from CWM.zip
    2. flash recovery.img into recovery partition
You cannot use RomManager or any of those other quick/easy apps to do it. You need to either use the Windows flashing tools by Tronsmart or Finless and select to flash only the recovery image -> partition or if you use Linux (use rkflash or rkflashtool and rkflashtool w (offset) (size) <recovery.img)

If you successfully flashed CWM recovery, you should be able to get into it by:
    1. Using the reboot app and selecting: reboot into recovery
    2. via shell, reboot recovery
    3. via adb, adb reboot recovery

If you try any of those and don't get into recovery, chances are you don't have an actual cwm recovery.

    G'luck

If you are using androtab's (by fun_ ) cwm recovery:
        How to control

        mouse

        • move up/down: up/down
        • left click: select
        • right click: back
        keyboard

        • cursor up/down: up/down
        • cursor left/enter: select
        • cursor right: back
        touch screen

        • swipe up/down: up/down
        • swipe left: select
        • swipe right: back
        button

        • volume up/down: up/down
        • power: select
        • back: back
        remote controller

        • up/down: up/down
        • left/ok: select
        • right/back: back

If you are using someone else's cwm, you would be better off contacting that developer directly. G'luck
