Just received mine today, and my initial impressions are really positive. I've already purchased two Beelink Z83s, a Z83 II and a Nexbox T10 mini PCs based on Cherry Trail...and there really is no comparison. The build quality is dramatically better, and having 4GB of DRAM makes a world of difference in subjective Windows 10 performance. With 64GB eMMC, I also won't be squeezed out of storage during Windows updates. It looks like you can purchase a 256GB m.2 2242 for about $117, if you want more fast main storage.
I haven't yet done side-by-side benchmarks against the Z83 II, but it just feels much less resource constrained in Windows 10.
UPDATE: Also, unlike the Z83 II, the AP42 v0.12 BIOS do enable standby (sleep & hibernate), and it's got a nice Beelink logo for the splash rather than the ugly "i n t e l" that screams Chinese knock-off because it's not even the Intel logo. Backups of BIOS and system drivers are posted here.
UPDATE: I did some side-by-side benchmarks vs. the Z83 II with PCMark 8, and the results are posted here.Last edited by Guest; 07 April 2017, 01:04.
