    Dual Boot on GT1 Ultimate / GT1

    Hi,
I have searched trough the forum but I haven't seen any guide about this topic.

Is it possible to dual boot a GT1 Ultimate or a "regular" GT1 so that to install different ROM?

    Thanks

      frank44 I do not own a GT1 or GT1 Ultimate. I don't know about dual-boot on those, mo123 knows much more than I do(understatement). :-)
So no dual-boot, but multi-boot should work on the GT1. I have an R68II, it can run Superceleron's ROMs for the GT1, so...
I run balbes150's Linux varients from SD card or flash drive on the R68II, so I assume balbes150's bits will work on the GT1. Don't know about the GT1 Ultimate, but balbes150's bits will usually work on Amlogic boxes with the proper dtb file.
If you are interested, I will post links.

        Hi!
        and thanks for your reply!
Yes, it would be nice of you if you could provide me with the links so that to have a look at how the multi boot thing works!
        Thanks again!

Info on balbes150's latest images can be found here.

Guide to use images and activate multi-boot is here, scroll to the section, "New Directions Start Here".

He has images that can be installed to eMMC too, but I have not done this. In any event, it is usually best to run from SD card first, to make sure it runs as expected.

          Faster cards are better.

I don't know what your level of skill is, but balbes150 has made it fairly easy for most skill levels.

If you need help, I will try to assist.

            Hey!
Thanks. I will have a look at it and if I feel comfortable enough I will try it out. I am not a super expert but I know roms and how to install them on smartphone and now...on Beelink boxes (btw, thanks beelink for providing me the wrong ROM and letting me brick my GT1. This gave the chance to learn something new about your boxes!)
